My Stake has been planning a huge temple day for President's Day since like November and challenged everyone in the stake to get a name they could take to the temple. My mother took this to heart 110%! I love it so much! She got her family history books out and was tracking names down. She found some names and invited her WHOLE family down!!
On Sunday we had my Grandpa Grandma Johnson, Ranae, her family, Merril his family, Sherry, and her family. It was quite the ordeal! We all sang songs (even though none of us were singers I love music and the spirit it brings) and it was just fun! We stayed up til... oh ya know... midnight. And we got up at like 6 to be at the temple at 7.
When we got to the temple the baptistry had a line like you wouldn't believe! It was coming out the door at least a good ten people! We tried to get in their as fast as we could but by the time me, Lisa, and Diana were done we had been waiting there for 2 hours! And between Sister Dennis making sure her names were said right and the baptizer baptizing these guys like twice his side, it was the funniest thing EVER!! It was just so good though! No one was complaining and we were all just trying to work together to get everthing done. It was a little chaotic when we got there but my mom jumped right in and took care of that mess! haha :D It was definately one of my favorite temple experiences! :D

LIfe!!
It's funny how I look at my life and think, "I'd rather be more busy than have a lot of extra time to myself." Then life gets busy and you hope for it to slow down so you can catch up! Then you realize that there's ALWAYS something else you can do! For me my big project I'm tackling is... CHEMISTRY, PERSONAL PROGRESS, and all around SCHOOL. Then you can add work on top of all of that... I certainly have a more busy life than boring. Ha ha it's just some of the things I really don't like to do!! ha ha if ya know what I mean, for example, Chemistry, Why in the world would someone want to do chapter outlines when they can go on a date or chill with family and friends. ha ha Life is good!!

Movies
We took the children to see the movie Tangled. I thought it was really a cute movie. I would have enjoyed it more if they had not made the hero the bad guy in the beginning. It was a :"Rapunzel"movie and it was just plain cute. I worry that it gives our children the idea that to be bad is a good thing and the girls will love you if you are that way. In real life we need our heros to be good all the time. You can go off the right road but it isn't easy to get off the wrong road and back to the way you really want to live your life. Thekindof young women that they will want to marry is not someone who is stealing or doesn't have the values. I believe we are attracted to those who hav the same typeof values as we have. It doesn't show that in these movies. I know that my children will see these movies and I want to see them with them so I can discuss the attributes these movies have compared with real life. I did like that I felt that he did become a good man in the end. I think this phase of movies will probably pass because it's in several at the moment. I can make my own endings with my children and it works because I do it with the children and it makes it fun. I think we just need to discuss it with our children so they can see why we think this way.

What matters!!
I think I'm like most people when I agonize over things that are important but aren't what matters. I always worry when I have company come to visit that my house isn't clean enough or organized enough. I had Lisa andDi come home the other day and I hurried and picked up a little bit. We had such a fun time with Lisa and Di and a couple of friends. These girls were all amazing! The house was not as organized as I wanted it to be.. . . but we had a great time all day just visiting and doing whatever. Then a couple of days later Ben Hannah and Mark had a scripture mastery party. It turned into a jousting party with Matthew and some of their firends playing on the rocking horses and using broom sticks to try to knock the other person off. These young people had a wonderful time among everything not being perfect. I loved it!!! I guess that it really didn't matter when people come to see you if you're house is perfect. They come to see you. I guess people don't care if you have if your not perfect. They come to visit you because they care about you. I need to relax and worry over the things that count and not what somebody else might think!!! People love me despite my faults.Sorry I can't get pictures to download. I'll try to down load on my face book. Pictures down loaded on face book. The address is

zumba
I went to zumba to get a bit of exercise the other day. I really quite enjoyed it. When we had finsihed the class Kari, the teacher was telling us a story about her pre-school dance class that she does. They were all there but they wanted to see her basement. She took them down and the little boy was very interested in the weight scale thing. She asked him if he wanted to know how much he weighted. He jumped on and she did some adjusting, then told him his weight was perfect. Then each of the children had their turn. She told each of them in turn they were perfect. They each smiled and they went happily up stairs. It's amazing what we can tell our children and they believe us but as an adult we don't believe an honest compliment sometimes.

Broked Umbrellla
First of all, you have to understand that Matthew and Rebeckah have all kinds of friends that they bring over to play: short ones (most of them), fat ones (those are a little more rare), ugly ones (just kidding. I don't think any of them are that ugly. Ha ha!), but they all just happen to be HILARIOUS!!! But I think of all of them, my all time favorite is Cynthia! (She also happens to be a cousin, but that doesn't really pertain to the story. Ha ha!) ( I am really funny huh?)
Cynthia is super fun to tease. I used to call her Stinky-Face, but she never really appreciated that. . .. . I still can't figure out why! But somehow or other the nickname stuck. Matthew and Beckah call her that all the time! OOPS!
Anyway, on with the story. . .. .
Once upon a time, Cynthia came over to our house and brought the Goose a homemade ring (pipecleaner with a cotton ball glued on). I was just teasing her (like I always do) and asked her if she would make me one. I put on my bestest sad face and kept eye contact. She probably took about 10 minutes to think it over. (I guess I didn't realize how tedious a task it is to make me a ring, but eventually she gave in, "Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. . . . . . . . . . . . I guess I could. . . . .. . .. . . .. "
With that I was simply overjoyed! Then a terrible thought came to me, I didn't have anything to give to poor little Stinky Face! So inspiration struck! "Well, Cynthia, since you are going to make me a beautiful ring for Christmas what should I get you?"
She took a few minutes to think about it then said, "Well, I already asked Santa for a Princess Tiara. . . . and" (this is my favorite part) " I'm OKAY with my broken umbrella, so I don't know."
Well, that settled it, the next time I went to Wal-Mart I found a little cheap umbrella that wasn't broken. I wrapped it up and let the Goose deliver it for me.
When I saw Cynthia after Christmas, she came up to me and said, " I just saw that pink umbrella."
I didn't really know how to respond to that, so I decided to be greedy. . . "So, where's my ring you were gonna make me?" She looked at me, gave a long huffy sigh, then said, "Well, I was just too busy! I didn't have time to make it yet." Then ran off to play!
I still haven't seen my ring, but I'm not bitter about it! ;)
